Yamaha lip plate patches are designed to prevent the flute from slipping against the chin, providing better stability at one of the most important contact points while playing. Made from ultra-thin, durable, and absorbent materials, these patches ensure a natural feel without interfering with your playing.
They may also help reduce allergic reactions caused by direct contact with metal – a common issue for some flutists.
Note:
For best results and longer durability, clean the flute’s lip plate thoroughly before applying the patch.
We recommend placing the patch slightly away from the embouchure hole — about a millimeter — to avoid affecting the sound quality.
