By strengthening the correct hand position, it can help with intonation and the overall tone of the flute, so that the position of the flute is parallel to the floor and not bent too much and inward or outward, damaging the sound quality. They are rubber-coated and do not scratch the instrument and do not slip.
They come in two types and different colors. The classic Thumbport covers almost the entire base and is more stable. While the Thumbport II is slightly shorter and fits all large flutes.
